MAX® II devices feature a user flash memory (UFM) block which can be
used similar to a serial EEPROM for storing non-volatile information up
to 8 Kbits. The UFM provides an ideal storage solution supporting any
possible protocol for interfacing (SPI, parallel, and other protocols)
through bridging logic that can be designed into the MAX II logic array.
